What drives the Danes' choice of entertainment universe?
The Danes have changed their media behavior in recent years, and this has led to restructuring in the television industry, which is at the top of the agenda in many places in the industry. The reason must be found in the combination of the growing range of content providers and the fact that the Danes are more critical when putting together the household's entertainment universe.
It is a continuing challenge to understand what drives the Danes' choice of what they want to pay to see. How you as a provider deserve to become part of the Danes' entertainment universe - when price and attractive content are taken into account as the usual driving forces for the choice.
We ask the Danes that, and answer, among other things, following questions:
Wilke has extensive industry-specific knowledge and advises business partners in the media industry regarding creating better customer experiences and developing solutions based on insights. Therefore, in the presentation, we focus on clarifying partly what and why, but equally how you as a media actor should relate to the Danes' changed media behaviour.

Dennis Christensen
Head of DR's media research, DR
Viewership, success and streaming
In Denmark, since 1992 we have benefited from a very detailed measurement of the Danes' television consumption. But since YouTube, Netflix and the other international streaming players entered the Danish media pond, something has changed.
While we still know everything about what happens on flow TV, a larger and larger proportion of Danes' consumption is overlooked by the figures. The shift from the broadcast paradigm's primarily advertising-financed system to the streaming paradigm's primarily subscription-financed model has meant that the public's knowledge of consumption figures has greatly deteriorated.
At the same time, the reality of streaming has also meant something for the definition of success on the medium, because do you really need a million for the premiere episode, when you can collect a million over several weeks? What does it mean for our understanding of the success of programs when consumption is time-shifted and consumption patterns change.
Finally, the new digital platforms have also offered new metrics that differ from the classic shares and ratings. What is the actual value of clicks, likes and views in a modern media reality? Are we moving away from ratings in the future?
Dennis Christensen, Head of DR's media research, takes us on a tour of the many possibilities and potential pitfalls of the goals and metrics when he answers the connection between viewership, success and streaming.

Netflix, which has developed an efficient machine for distributing films and TV series around the globe, has set out to breathe life into the interactive film. In Christmas 2018, Netflix surprised its users with the launch of its first interactive movie for adults: Bandersnatch. It is part of the anthology series BlackMirror, and is a big bet for Netflix.
But is Netflix's Bandersnatch the way forward and how does the concept work? What is the story behind interactive narratives? How do consumers perceive it, what does it speak to in us?
