AI and the future of creativity
Lars Bastholm is one of Denmark's most experienced and internationally recognized creative profiles from the agency world. In this presentation, he focuses on one of the most fundamental – and most debated – questions in the encounter between artificial intelligence and creative work: Can AI be creative, and what does that mean for creative people?
Based on many years of work with idea development, storytelling and creative processes – and with in-depth knowledge of how AI is already used in TV, film and advertising production – Lars Bastholm investigates what happens to creativity when machines can increasingly generate images, text, music and concepts.
The presentation challenges the notion of creativity as a uniquely human domain and discusses whether AI can in certain contexts appear more creative than humans – or whether it is rather our definition of creativity that is changing. At the same time, the presentation raises key questions about professionalism, intuition, experience and responsibility: What is the role of humans when AI becomes an active co-creator? And what new competencies are required to work professionally creatively in interaction with intelligent systems?
A reflective and practical presentation that gives the audience new perspectives on creativity, technology and the place of humans in the creative industries of the future - with a special focus on TV and film.
